84,000 Enjoy the Good Times This unique property combines the charm and flavors of New Orleans with the excitement and glamour of Las Vegas. The pool at MGM is better though, so if that was a big reason to pick MGM, stick with that and just drive or take a cab to the Orleans. With 70 lanes, spacious seating, and other convenient amenities, the Orleans Bowling Center at The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV provides a fun night out to everyone. Then you can visit MGM instead of 'commuting' from MGM to Orleans. 7/03/23 to 7/05/23, this is like my 8th time over the past 20 years staying at The Orleans although, this will be my last time mainly due to the fact that the hotel casino still allows cigarette smoking plus the rooms air conditioners although blows out cool air it also blows out a soapy smell deodorant scent that bothers me while in the room.
It would save you some money too, if you're paying out of your own pocket. Not quite as nice as MGM, but very nice, and it would be more convenient for you. You may want to consider staying at the Orleans, it's a very nice place. I always drive when I go to Vegas, it's better than cab fare, etc. Driving is fine, both places have FREE parking.
It should be an inexpensive and easy cab ride though, probably 5 to 10 bucks. Also, the walk goes through some areas that can be a little scary - not BAD areas, but areas that get a lot of transients and vagrants, I guess because I-15 is right there by trop. If you were walking for exercise it would be fine, but walking as transportation it's not wise. Both hotels are on Tropicana, but they are 1.5 miles apart.
